Refugee Orphan Home

In October of 2008, Africa Heartwood Project established the Refugee Orphan Home at Buduburam Refugee Camp in Ghana, Africa. Since then over 40 orphan children and youth have been provided for full time under our care. We're currently in the process of planning a comprehensive relocation to Liberia for our wonderful children and the Home. Click here to learn more about the project and how you can help!

Vocational Training for Deaf Children

Deaf children in Ghana are often denied their right to education and opportunities for work and training, despite their great ability and desire. A multi-phase plan is being initiated by Africa Heartwood Project and the Unit School for Deaf in Koforidua, Ghana, to help deaf students acquire the skills and capital necessary to eventually provide for their own needs and contribute to the local economy with their craft. Click here to learn about our support for vocational training in Koforidua!
